In order to avoid any appearance of a potential conflict of interest, I want to make everybody aware that I have been offered and accepted a position with Carlisle Wortman Associates.

While their relationship working as the City’s planning consultants has been long established and predates my time on Council (and even as a resident), I would not be comfortable voting on any City contracts with the firm in the future.

I have asked Manager Nicholls to split off any decisions related to Carlisle Wortman, such as the annual organizational assignments, so that I may abstain from such votes while still participating in other deliberation and voting.
