In the past, I have been reticent to give or to accept endorsements. Part of me didn’t feel comfortable giving my opinion; every voter should be making decisions for themselves. I have since come to realize the value of listening to folks who you already appreciate and have voted for candidates upon endorsement from those that I thought were good public servants.
Endorsed By
I have been endorsed by the Washtenaw County Democratic Party. Here is a link to their voter guide.
I have been formally endorsed by Council Member Griffin. We met on different sides of a topic and still have different votes, but we both have a drive to promote good government.
I have been endorsed less formally by other local officials but have decided against including those on this website at this time out of an abundance of respect for not putting them in any awkward situations.
Most heartwarming, though, have been a number of unsolicited emails from folks I’ve never meet who personally shared their support to me. I really appreciate it.

Endorsing Others
I have decided to share my endorsements for various offices affecting our City. I have met or worked with all of these folks.
County Commissioner District 1
Jason Maciejewski
I have known Commissioner Maciejewski since 2013 and worked with him when he was serving as a Dexter Township Trustee. He has always been incredibly prepared and able to see the big picture. He is a rare mix of a leader who has a vision but who also works to listen to his constituents. He has brought attention to issues of importance to Western Washtenaw County.
